
Job description:
The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing effective email marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement, retention, and conversion. This role includes crafting email copy, building segmented lists, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring brand consistency. The ideal candidate is creative, analytical, and skilled at using email marketing platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
· Campaign Development: Plan, create, and execute email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, product promotions, and customer lifecycle emails.
· Content Creation: Write compelling email content that aligns with brand voice and goals, with a focus on driving engagement and conversions.
· Segmentation & Targeting: Build and maintain email lists and perform segmentation to target specific audiences effectively.
· A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing on email elements like subject lines, content, visuals, and CTAs to optimize campaign performance.
· Automation: Set up automated email workflows for customer onboarding, re-engagement, abandoned cart recovery, and more.
· Performance Analysis: Track and analyze email metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates) and use data insights to improve future campaigns.
· Compliance & Deliverability: Ensure email marketing efforts comply with CAN-SPAM and GDPR regulations, maintain list hygiene, and optimize email deliverability.
· Collaboration: Work with designers, product marketers, and other stakeholders to create visually appealing and relevant email content.
· Customer Engagement: Monitor customer feedback and interactions, refining email strategies to foster a strong customer-brand relationship.
Skills & Qualifications::
· Technical Proficiency: Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or Marketo.
· Copywriting Skills: Strong ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive email content.
· Analytical Skills: Familiarity with Google Analytics and data interpretation to assess email performance and optimize campaigns.
· A/B Testing Knowledge: Understanding of A/B testing principles and best practices for continuous improvement.
· Automation Expertise: Experience setting up and managing automated email workflows and customer journey mapping.
· Design Sense: Basic understanding of design principles and experience with creating visually appealing emails (familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus).
· Project Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience: 3-5 years of experience in email marketing.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
· Knowledge: Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, and managing subscriber data.
· Certification: Certification in email marketing or digital marketing (optional but advantageous).
